Austria’s climate protection tasks
Human-induced climate warming is generally considered the most serious global environmental problem, the long-term effects of which can only be attenuated by joint, responsible action on the part of the community of nations. Austria has taken on an international commitment to reduce greenhouse gasses (primarily carbon dioxide) by 13%. For this purpose, the federal government has adopted a National Climate Protection Programme which will be implemented in the next few years.
